Specialist III, Inspector, Billings Refinery Job Posting Location Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future What to Expect As an Inspector Specialist III, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the reliability and safety of refinery operations. In this position, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining critical equipment, working alongside skilled professionals in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and technical expertise are valued. You'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of inspection methods and industry standards while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence. What You'll Do Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of fixed equipment and piping to ensure operational and safety standards are met. Analyze inspection data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to operations, maintenance, and turnaround teams. Direct non-destructive examination (NDE) crews, review engineering and inspection documentation, and specify remedial work as needed. Support turnaround activities, approve repairs, and maintain detailed records and reports, presenting findings to relevant teams. Interpret fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, and P&IDs, applying knowledge of damage mechanisms, metallurgy, and welding inspection. Collaborate across departments to uphold safety and compliance, provide specialist advice, and optimize inspection processes through advanced data analysis and reporting.
