CBS Newspath is seeking an Associate Producer with a strong commitment to journalism to coordinate news production and newsgathering operations for its overnight Desk team. This position helps manage the network's response to breaking news and responds to video and editorial requests from CBS broadcasts, owned stations, affiliates and clients. Excellent people/customer service skills are required. The AP is also responsible for clipping and publishing Newspath video and scripts and assisting in the transmission and distribution of live video, edited video and correspondent packages. The candidate must have experience in working with sources to confirm and verify facts and video elements, especially during breaking news. The ability to gather the elements producers need to put together packages and vo/sots for the biggest stories of the day is critical.
