About this role

AI Engineer - Intern Paris, France About us Owkin is an AI company on a mission to solve the complexity of biology. It is building the first Biology Super Intelligence (BASI) by combining powerful biological large language models, multimodal patient data, and agentic software. At the heart of this system is Owkin K, an AI copilot and its new LLM fine-tuned on biology called Owkin Zero, used by researchers, clinicians, and drug developers to better understand biology, validate scientific hypotheses, and deliver better diagnostics and therapies faster. Position is based in our Paris office. Please submit your CV in English About the role: As a AI Engineer Intern, you will contribute to build the data pipelines fuelling the leading Agentic AI product for biomedical researchers by optimising workflows, integrate new biological datasets, and develop new features within the team. You'll be working on a real-time system that integrates LLMs, tool-calling, and interactive UI elements, making sure our users can seamlessly engage with complex domain specific data. This role requires integrating in a multi-disciplinary team (Software Engineers, Data Engineers, MLEngineers, Data Scientists) working on Owkin's agentic product: K: Multimodal Context team. The team is responsible for providing the right information to the orchestration through tool calling. The internship is expected to involve contributions across these different expertises in various parts of the product. The internship will be supervised by a dedicated member of the team and the whole team will ensure to set it up for success. In particular, you will:
