Level 1 Packer Technician Kansas City, KS Job Title: Level 1 Packer Technician Location: Kansas City, KS Pay Rate: $25.59 Hours: 2/2/3 Schedule 7:00am-7:00pm and 7:00p-7:00a -Rotating shifts 2 weeks on Day Shift then 2 weeks on Night Shift SUMMARY Performs the role of providing support to packaging and production operations by performing processes which include, but are not limited to, procuring and placing bags on packaging equipment, hauling scrap, salvaging insulation and feeding same into reconditioning equipment, transporting direct materials, cleaning designated equipment and areas, loading material onto ware-trucks, and operating designated vehicles. Sets up, operates, monitors, adjusts, troubleshoots and maintains equipment related to these processes. Measures, monitors and maintains quality standards. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Visually inspects, selects, packages and labels products according to specifications. Positions and loads ware-trucks, racks, strings, etc., manually or by using assigned material handling equipment. Sets up, operates, adjusts and inspects semiautomatic and automatic packaging equipment, (including, but not limited to, stretch wrappers, baggers, shift/code printers, manual overwraps, bales, autobaggers, unitizers, retail packaging, conveying systems, etc.). Obtains schedule information from SAP. Performs packaging operations (including, but not limited to, palletizing, closing bags, wrapping bundles, etc.).
