Administrative Officer Washington, District of Columbia Summary Who May Be Considered: Status Candidates Veterans Land Management Eligibles under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act. Duties The primary purpose of this position is to provide, secure and/or negotiate for the services needed to manage and run the administrative operations of an independent Federal agency. Duties performed: Manage and run the administrative and financial operations of the agency, including budget estimates and justifications and compliance with federal reporting requirements. Supervise a permanent staff, in addition to contractor personnel and staff members on temporary assignment. Act as the agency's Contracting Officer, providing oversight and quality control over contracts, agreements, and invoice payments. Provide oversight and quality control over federal financial requirements, ensuring completion of monthly closeout reports on travel, leave, and budget. Ensure agency meeting locations are secured and accessible, and that all travel reservations and reimbursements are completed correctly and timely. Requirements You must be a U.S Citizen to apply for this position. You must successfully pass a background investigation. This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs. Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see http://www.sss.gov/). Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required One-year probationary period may be required. Must meet Time-In-Grade requirements.
