About this role
Senior Manager, Hardware Test Engineering Santa Clara, CA, United States, US At Oracle, we are building next-generation cloud infrastructure at scale. As a Senior Manager in Hardware Test Engineering, you will lead and grow a team responsible for validation and qualification of high-performance networking hardware used in Oracle Cloud. This role requires a balance of strong technical depth and people leadership to ensure product quality, reliability, and scalability. - Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 10+ hardware validation and qualification engineers - Define and drive overall test strategy, planning, and execution for networking hardware platforms, including Ethernet switches and optical interconnects - Oversee system-level validation, ensuring coverage across functional, stress, and reliability testing - Guide teams in debugging complex hardware issues, including BER failures, link instability, and signal integrity challenges - Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware design, firmware, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure high-quality product delivery - Drive continuous improvement in validation methodologies, automation, and lab infrastructure - Ensure adherence to industry standards, compliance requirements, and interoperability for cloud deployment - Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation across multiple programs - Provide technical leadership and establish best practices for hardware testing and qualification - Support hiring, performance management, and career development of team members Preferred Qualifications - Strong background in hardware validation and qualification of networking systems, particularly switches and high-speed platforms - Experience with optical module testing and debugging (transceivers, fiber optics) - Deep understanding of BER analysis, link stability, and signal integrity issues - Familiarity
