About this role
Senior Data Center Technician Malaysia, MY Interested in new challenges and being part of a team working on critical projects? Then we'd like to talk to you! An Oracle Data Center Technician will be the technical liaison between the technology teams and the Data Centre Environment. You are able to troubleshoot and solve infrastructure issues within a Data Centre environment while working closely with a senior Technician. You are able to install/assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of data centre equipment. You will also be required to perform routine maintenance such as replacing failed components and updating firmware. You will need to understand the support tools used to maintain data center activities and assist with maintaining an accurate parts inventory. Your attention to detail is imperative. Following are some of the responsibilities and requirements of the role: Previous experience working in a Data Centre environment. Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software. Execute basic troubleshooting along with triaging incoming incidents in support of DC operations. Communicate confidently and clearly with all stakeholders. Maintain strong adherence to processes and contribute to process improvements. Understand internal customer problems and deliver timely technical solutions. Work on a rotating shift basis, including on-call. Background in Linux. Knowledge of Data Centre Ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling).
