Job Summary The Wholesale Originator position within the NRG Business team will be responsible for originating, structuring, and negotiating electric commodity transactions with a focus on the East wholesale power markets, including PJM, ISONE, NYISO and MISO; however, some aspects may require knowledge of other markets (e.g. ERCOT) from time-to-time. Our team works at the intersection of retail and wholesale to assist in finding deal structures that advance both our wholesale and retail businesses. This individual will work closely with both the Commercial Operations teams (Power and Emissions Trading Desks) and the NRG Business C&I Sales Teams to help facilitate deal flow and manage internal and external issues related to valuing and closing transactions. This individual will be expected to act as a subject matter expert, well-versed in power and emissions market fundamentals and capable of explaining key market dynamics to a variety of audiences.
