Senior Software Test Engineer Ciudad de México, DIF, Mexico Company Description: R26_0002409 As a Senior Software Test Engineer in NIQ Activate, you will play a vital role within the R&D team, ensuring that all software delivered to clients is stable, high-quality, and bug-free. Using strong analytical skills, manual testing techniques, and QA best practices, you will validate product functionality across environments, identify and report defects, verify fixes, and help improve overall release quality. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications, and systems perform flawlessly and meet NIQ's quality standards. Job Description: Responsibilities Review and analyze system requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation. Collaborate with QA Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners to define effective test strategies and test plans. Execute manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple environments. Maintain and execute test cases in Zephyr, ensuring proper traceability to user stories in Jira. Perform sanity and smoke testing post-deployment and ensure timely validation of releases. Verify API responses and integrations using tools like Postman, ensuring backend-frontend consistency. Identify, log, and retest defects with clear steps to reproduce, screenshots, and evidence. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives). Collaborate closely with the development team during defect triage and root cause discussions. Support QA metrics tracking such as defect leakage, coverage, and test execution progress.
