Position Overview: MyOme is an early stage startup with seasoned entrepreneurs looking for a bioinformatician to join the team and help expand the role of genetic information in personal and family health decisions. You will collaborate with the research and engineering teams to develop and implement analytic pipelines, computational analysis, and interpretation of biological data. We are looking for an experienced bioinformatician or data scientist with a strong background in human genetics. This role will report directly to a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. What You'll Do: - Work with bioinformaticians and engineers to manage, process, analyze and interpret genomic data - Identify and develop tools for NGS data analysis - Develop and test algorithms for incorporation into a production pipeline - Design and implement quality control processes - Help design and conduct clinical validation study plans and reports - Work with our Clinical Lab Director to make sure all algorithms comply with regulatory standards What You'll Ne ed: - Master's degree (PhD preferred) in computational biology, computer science or a related field - 3+ years experience in industry analyzing NGS data - Coding fluency such as Python or R
