About this role
Head of Public Policy for Thailand Bangkok, Thailand Meta is seeking a strategic thinker to join our Thailand Public Policy team as Head of Public Policy for Thailand. You will work on the full range of policy issues related to Meta's mission of building the future of human connection and the technology that makes it possible. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding Meta's business and policy priorities and being able to communicate those to policymakers, civil society, academia and other stakeholders such as trade associations. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues across the business globally. The ideal candidate will have keen Interest in emerging technologies and policy work and demonstrated written and spoken communications skills in Thai and English. You will become part of a team that deals with some of the most interesting public policy challenges of our times including privacy, safety, e-commerce and AI. This position will be based in Bangkok and will report to the Director of Public Policy, Central Southeast Asia & ASEAN. Responsibilities: - Provide strategic policy advice to key business and policy team partners - Work with policymakers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academics and private sector organizations, including local, regional and international organizations, on issues relating to privacy, safety, e-commerce and AI, amongst other technology-relevant public policy concerns - Work with our policy programs team to develop and implement strategic and high-impact programs to address key policy issues - Represent Meta in meetings and public events with policymakers and other stakeholders -
