Management Analyst Washington, District of Columbia Summary This position is located in the Network Services Section, Patron and Network Engagement Division, National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), Library Collections and Services Group. The position description number for this position is 467473. The salary range indicated reflects the locality pay adjustments for the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan area. The incumbent of this position will work a flexitime work schedule. Duties The position serves as a Management Analyst and patron information systems (PIMMS) database Coordinator. The position is located in the Patron and Network Engagement Division (PNED), National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS), Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG), and reports to the Head of the Network Services Section (NSS). The Management Analyst serves as a liaison between NLS and the Network for systems related operations, including PIMMS, NLDB, ILL/XESS, and WebReads. Coordinates the operations of collecting, compiling, and publishing statistical information gathered from network libraries on readership and circulation and on production of books, magazines, machines, and equipment, and from the comprehensive PIMMS database. The incumbent monitors the operations and functions of PIMMS, NLDB, ILL/XESS, RECALL which consists of complex profiles of organizations and patrons utilizing the NLS program through cooperating network libraries. The individual is responsible for providing guidance to NLS staff and network libraries on the functions and complexities of library systems.
