About this role
Packaging Technologist Wrexham We're looking for a Packaging Technologist on a 18-month fixed term contract to join our R&D Packaging team at a pivotal moment, supporting the transformation of our Wrexham cereal plant into one of Europe's largest cereal manufacturing sites. You'll play a key role in delivering major capital projects, helping bring new packaging capabilities to life. Based primarily on-site in Wrexham, you'll join a collaborative project team working closely with engineering, operations and quality. This hands-on role will see you support the installation, commissioning and start-up of new packaging lines, gaining end-to-end project experience. You'll also contribute to future packaging initiatives, including EU compliance, working across both Snacks and Cereal portfolios to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions. A Taste of What You'll Be Doing Packaging Development & Compliance - Drive packaging development projects, provide factory support, and ensure all packaging meets food safety and quality standards. Plant Trials - Plan, organise, and lead plant trials, testing, and support the commissioning of new packaging equipment. Data Analysis - Analyse trial data, apply statistical methods, and ensure testing, OEE, and approval processes are followed. Reporting - Communicate findings, highlight risks, propose solutions, and keep project teams updated.
