Mechanical Design Engineer Reno, NV, US Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the DPC Team in Reno, NV .Under general supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Design Engineer will support the manufacturing engineers through equipment assembly/setup/maintenance/documentation and manufacturing documentation creation. Mechanical Design Engineer is an entry level position that provides technical assistance to the Manufacturing Engineers and R&D Engineers to develop practical solutions for manufacture, test, or improve company products. The Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with design and manufacturing teams to develop, test and finalize product documentation and bill of material (BOM) for existing and newly developed products using CAD and product lifecycle management (PLM) software. This position will support sustaining engineering functions creating engineering change orders (ECO) and reviewing documentation and BOMs for completeness and accuracy. The Mechanical Design Engineer, as with all members of the Server Technology Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.
