About this role
Trading Operations Analyst Sydney, Australia About the Role We're looking for a motivated individual to join our APAC Middle Office team as a Trading Operations Analyst, supporting our systematic equities and ETF desks across APAC markets. This is a fast-paced, high-ownership role where you'll play a critical part in ensuring our traders can operate safely and efficiently throughout the trading day. What You'll Be Doing - Tracking and managing the full lifecycle of corporate actions (stock splits, bonus shares, changed tickers, acquisitions, spinoffs, bankruptcies, divests, fund mergers) and the associated position changes - Providing traders with a clear view of tradeable positions and outstanding issues before safe market entry - Working with prime brokers and clearers to correct reports, co-ordinating across multiple counterparties simultaneously - Reconciling P&L and cash breaks, including swap-related and corporate action-driven breaks - Contributing to ETF P&L analysis and refinement, including multi-currency complexity - Participating in the design and build of internal tooling to improve visibility of issues What We're Looking For - 2-4 years' experience in a Middle Office, Trade Support or Product Control role - Tertiary education in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field - Strong attention to detail and comfort working under time pressure - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously across different markets - A collaborative team player who communicates clearly and proactively - Experience with Python, SQL, VBA and Claude Code is preferred but not essential About Us IMC is a global trading firm powered by a cutting-edge research environment
