About this role

Accounting Manager Chicago, United States IMC is looking for an Accounting Manager to join the US Accounting team. The Finance team operates closely with our Trading and Technology teams to manage the liquidity required to run a high-performance organization. Key Responsibilities - Take ownership of the monthly close process by delivering consistent and accurate closings. - Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for multiple entities. - Assist and back up in the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury management functions. - Analyze account fluctuations at the entity level on a monthly and ad-hoc basis. - Identify automation opportunities within the accounting and finance functions to implement improvement initiatives and support efficiency improvements. - Manage inter-company recharges and allocations. - Update and maintain procedural documentation. - Collaborate with mid-office, procurement, and financial planning and analysis teams to produce reliable and timely reporting. - Facilitate process improvement to reduce closing cycle time. - Document and deliver support for various regulatory and financial audits. - Assist with annual audit and work with external audit team. - Ensure timely, accurate completion of related special project and analysis work and other ad hoc tasks as requested by other senior members of finance. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred - 5+ years of experience in the financial services or technology industry - Series 27 and experience with broker dealer regulatory reporting a plus - Experience with Workday preferred - High proficiency in Excel required, AI tools experience a plus -
