About this role

Senior Systems Reliability Engineer Remote - Must reside in California or Oregon Senior Systems Reliability Engineer About IEX IEX (IEX Group, Inc.) is an exchange operator and technology company dedicated to innovating for performance in capital markets. Founded in 2012, IEX launched a new kind of securities exchange in 2016 that combines a transparent business model and unique architecture designed to protect investors. Today, IEX applies its proprietary technology and experience to drive performance across asset classes, serve investors, and advocate for transparent and competitive markets. About This Role IEX is looking for our next Systems Reliability Engineer - The right person for the job will be an insatiably curious tinkerer with technical chops, who has done this type of role before. Bonus points if you take an interest in the stock market, though finance experience is not necessary - only a willingness to learn all about the inner workings of the market is required. In this role, you will be constantly optimizing and automating our processes and systems to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Plus, you will take on real-time responsibilities, such as monitoring, incident management, and recovery. Coding and scripting are part of our daily life (we like python, bash, ansible and rust). You will be exposed to how our technology interacts with the business to gain a deep understanding of application logic and business data workflows. Experience with any layer in our stack (Linux, Java, C++) is highly beneficial, particularly around the areas of performance and capacity.
