About this role
Cloud Engineer (Clearance required) Reston, VA The Work: We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud solutions that enable mission‑critical systems for government and commercial clients. This role works closely with architects, developers, and DevSecOps teams to implement cloud‑native architectures and modernize legacy platforms. Job Location: This is a fully remote role which may require occasional travel to the DC Metro area as needed for onsite client meetings. Preference to candidates located within the Washington, DC Metro area. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections. What You Will Do: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments Build and maintain cloud‑native solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) Support application and data migrations to cloud platforms Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance, security controls, and best practices Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cost and reliability Document architectures, configurations, and operational procedures What You Will Bring With You: Active Top Secret clearance, with SCI eligibility 2+ years of experience supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) What We Would Like You To Bring With You: Bachelor's Degree in related field Prior experience supporting federal or DoD programs, preferably DCSA Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools Experience with Linux
