Maintenance Crafts Greenville, AL Job Overview The Maintenance Crafts performs a variety of maintenance tasks to keep the plant and the machinery operating. A Day In The Life Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by: Working safely on a variety of equipment to carry out preventive, reactive and predictive maintenance. Troubleshooting electronic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment (including, turret punches, laser, Mechanical/hydraulic power presses, and other specialized equipment). Reading, interpreting, and programming PLC controllers and languages. Determining root cause of equipment failures and developing preventative measures. Performing electrical/mechanical fabrication and alterations. Diagnosing machine operation failures and downtime utilizing machine manuals, PLCs, and other tools, including diagrams, wiring layouts, blueprints, schematics etc. Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery/equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Using tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, drills etc.) to precision measuring instruments. Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, machinery, or equipment. Inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other maintenance actions. Performing preventative maintenance throughout the plant.
