Electrical Testing Technician Iron Mountain, MI Job Overview As an Electrical Testing Technician, you are responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical power systems and related equipment within a laboratory testing environment. This role focuses on detailed analytical tasks and testing of protective relaying equipment, electrical panels, and other electrical devices and equipment installed in an equipment enclosure. A Day In The Life Verify proper component installation and connection per electrical drawings Perform continuity checks of panels and electrical equipment using an Ohm Meter, wiring diagrams, and schematics, effectively troubleshooting when needed to ensure proper wiring Perform megger testing or other Customer-required validations Utilize testing equipment and power supplies to energize basic electrical equipment, including lights, HVACs, and inverters, protecting against improper wiring or design that would cause damage to equipment Perform final quality and torque processes to ensure product completion and integrity Assist engineering in the correction of wiring diagrams and schematic drawings in order to meet Customer design requirements Work safely in and around energized electrical equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and What will help you thrive in this role? High School Diploma, or equivalent Preferred three years of experience in panel or enclosure wiring A bility to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Familiarity with using a multimet er for power
