(Electrical) Product Engineer - Birmingham, AL Leeds, AL Job Overview The Product Engineer will perform design of product and process activities in support of new product development and product line sustainment for medium and high voltage switchgear products. #LI-CH1 A Day In The Life Primary focus is MV/HV Switchgear or similar components Creating, updating, and reviewing design content requirements including but not limited to 3D models and associated 2D drawings, technical specifications, reliability calculations, multiphysics simulations, tolerance stack up, DFMEA, DFMA, and Design Validation Plans and Reports (DVP&R) Initiating and managing engineering changes and their required peer review for associated design content Identifying Design to Value initiatives for parts, assemblies, and processes Reviewing of customer specifications and requirements to evaluate design requirements Work with quality and manufacturing teams to sustain existing products and commercialize new products Providing technical assistance to Applications, Process, and Quality Engineering Assisting in product training activities that may involve internal staffing or customer training events Travel requirements involving off-site testing of products, marketing support, field review of product applications or training activities What will help you thrive in this role?
