Mechanical Design Engineer II - Second/Swing Shift Phoenix, AZ, United States Mechanical Design Engineer II - Second/Swing Shift Phoenix, AZ, United States Job Description The Mechanical Design Engineer II - Second/Swing Shift position is part of Global Repair & Overhaul Engineering (GROE) team within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) organization, supporting Aerospace Technology Integrate Supply Chain (ISC) Repair & Overhaul organization. The Mechanical Design Engineer II will be part of the Overhaul Engineering (OHE) Group that is responsible for engineering operations in support of an OEM-affiliated, FAA-certified aerospace repair station in Phoenix, AZ. The OHE Group consists of engineers who are responsible for repair and overhaul support requirements for various aircraft components as well as test systems support and improvements. The ideal candidate would be an experienced engineer with strong interpersonal skills, as the position demands frequent interaction with both internal and external customers. The candidate must be capable of exercising initiative and sound judgment. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical support to the ISC Repair & Overhaul workshop on second shift (Swing Shift) by driving customer service, health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance, quality, delivery, and cost management. Offer technical assistance for disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, and testing of aircraft products. Support global productivity goals for engineering savings through Repair Development, test system improvements, and the implementation of standardized processes.
