Industrial Engineering CA ON Napanee Plt 990 The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer Associate supports plant performance by developing labor standards, wage incentive plans, and data‑driven recommendations that improve productivity and cost efficiency. This role conducts time studies, staffing analysis, ergonomic evaluations, and job analyses to ensure optimal utilization of people and equipment across manufacturing operations. The associate partners closely with Engineering and Production teams to support efficiency studies, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital justification efforts. In unionized environments, the role also assists management with labor issues and supports effective labor relations. Why This Role Matters Directly impacts labor cost, productivity, and plant performance by establishing, maintaining, and optimizing wage incentive plans and labor standards that influence hourly workforce efficiency and production outcomes. Drives data‑based operational decisions through time studies, ergonomic and motion analysis, staffing evaluations, and job analyses that ensure optimal utilization of personnel and equipment. Plays a key role in continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence, partnering with Engineering and Production to conduct efficiency studies, support capital justification, improve plant layout, and apply Lean, Six Sigma, and MOST methodologies. Acts as a critical liaison between management and the hourly workforce, supporting labor relations, resolving grievances, and representing the company in arbitration when required, particularly in union environments.
