Why this Role Matters The analytical chemist contributes to the Luxembourg Metrology organization by delivering reliable and accurate analytical data that supports product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance. By performing testing and building expertise across chromatographic, spectroscopic, thermal, and wet chemical techniques, the role ensures high-quality results while connecting routine laboratory operations with early-stage method development. Contributions to documentation, equipment maintenance, and cross-functional communication further support the organization's commitment to strict safety and quality standards, reinforcing confidence in data and operational excellence. What You'll Do Execute routine and semi-routine analytical tests using thermal analysis (TGA, DSC), spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman), combustion-based elemental analysis, and porosity measurements Ensure accurate, repeatable, and safe operation of laboratory instruments while managing priorities effectively Prepare and isolate samples following established methods and safety standards Apply established analytical methods and contribute to incremental improvements under senior guidance Assist in maintaining and updating methods' documentation and records Perform basic data analysis, validate results, identify anomalies, and document findings clearly Support knowledge retention through structured documentation and record keeping Participate in routine calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of analytical equipment
