About this role

Maintenance Planner II General Atomics (GA), and its affiliated companies, is one of the world's leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies. As part of the Facilities team, the Maintenance Planner develops and manages comprehensive maintenance plans for building infrastructure and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. This role creates and maintains preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, prepares work orders in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and coordinates closely with internal stakeholders to minimize downtime and extend asset life. The Maintenance Planner works collaboratively in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift based on operational needs and emergencies. While maintenance planning is the primary focus, the role may support other facilities activities and cross-functional projects as needed to keep the campus safe, secure, and operational. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Identify potential maintenance issues and develop preventive maintenance plans to address them. - Compile and analyze maintenance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost savings. - Develop and maintain detailed maintenance schedules for all building infrastructure components and equipment. - Create and manage work orders that comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while maximizing the use of internal resources. - Work with internal stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, maintenance technicians, and department heads, to develop the scope of maintenance requirements and ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities. - Monitor the progress
