Team Leader Software Engineering Chandler, Arizona Overview We are seeking a full-time IT & Database (DB) Operations Team Leader in our Chandler, AZ location. This role combines leadership in IT infrastructure management with specialized oversight of database systems. This position ensures reliable, secure, and efficient IT and database operations while leading a team of cloud and database administrators along with IT operations staff. These functions ensure minimal downtime, data security, and support for business objectives. Essential Functions Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of IT operations staff and database administrators (DBAs) Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, handle hiring/recruitment, and resolve conflicts Delegate tasks, foster collaboration, and promote professional development Oversee database performance tuning, monitoring, backups, recovery, and security Ensure high availability, data integrity, and compliance with governance policies Collaborate with the Software Engineering Teams on database design, query optimization, and integration with applications Manage servers, networks, monitoring systems, and overall IT environment stability Handle incident response, change management, and disaster recovery planning Ensure system availability, scalability, and alignment with business needs Develop processes, guidelines for IT/DB operations Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams (e.g., development, security) Enforce security protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation Drive continuous improvement through metrics, reporting, and automation Monitor alerts, resolve escalated issues, and provide technical guidance Support production environments, releases, and capacity planning Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR a minimum
