Senior Financial Accountant Amsterdam Flow Traders is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in the Amsterdam office. The Senior Financial Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the financial records and close process. You will independently own accounting areas up to trial balance level, review work prepared by others, and run improvement initiatives end ‑ to ‑ end. The role combines hands ‑ on accounting responsibility with senior ‑ level coordination, review, and project ownership within Record ‑ to ‑ Report. What you will do - Act as the right hand to the Head of Business Accounting, supporting the day ‑ to ‑ day leadership of Record ‑ to ‑ Report activities - Work closely with your direct manager on planning, prioritisation, and delivery across month ‑ end close and reporting cycles - Take end ‑ to ‑ end responsibility for day ‑ to ‑ day accounting for assigned entities/areas within the general ledger - Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including complex accruals, prepayments, estimates, and corrections - Perform and review bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations, resolving differences independently - Lead and coordinate assigned parts of the month ‑ end close and trial balance preparation - Independently
