About this role
MSC Infrastructure Engineer (Req #1040) Remote, US Overview *Rotating First and Second Shift* As a Managed Services Center (MSC) Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide ePlus' MSC and clientele with Network, Security and Systems support to maximize stability, availability, security, and functionality within the production environment. As a customer-interfacing contact, you will work to solve pressing business issues and drive positive change. You will leverage technology, advance ePlus MSC services and provide performance improvement feedback. Your Impact The essential functions of this position include: - Manage projects and tasks, as assigned, including: - Tool replacement and upgrades - Maintain accurate data set in tools - Deploying new networks - Integrating tools and authentication methods - Hardware upgrades and replacements - Creating and updating documentation - Perform network/systems support in a Managed Services Center environment - Troubleshoot, isolate, and diagnose common problems network/systems problems, either alone or as part of a team - Resolve and manage problems effectively and immediately - Work in a team environment 7x24x365 with the ability to function independently and discretely during rotating shift work - Provide systems support functions for client end systems, which includes design, development, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution. Follow- through until problems are resolved. - Focus on building your own high-level technical skills including building a strength in coding and automation techniques - Ability to work overnight shifts on a weekly rotating schedule - Ability to work remotely and still provide a professional communication experience Qualifications - College degree preferred; high school diploma
