Energy Market Analyst City New Orleans Work Place Flexibility: Legal Entity: JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: This role is part of a team that performs market and customer research, economic modeling and analysis on subjects that have key implications for ETR's long-term growth. Examples of such subjects include trends in the utility industry at-large, trends in Entergy's electric utility load, the makeup of Entergy's customers, and the commercial environments impacting customers. The team also provides project support for ETR's business development efforts. This role will serve as the primary liaison for ETR data insights for market intelligence studies encompassing both internal and 3 rd party information across focus customer segments. The role will be responsible for navigating complex, fragmented data environments to extract, sanitize, and interpret critical information. Your work will directly influence strategic decision-making for our energy portfolios. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Complex Data Extraction & Integration: Navigate multiple legacy and modern systems (CIS, MDM, GIS, and Billing) to identify relevant data points. Write advanced SQL queries to join disparate tables across different schemas. Data Wrangling & Quality Assurance: Lead the "clean-up" of inaccurate or incomplete datasets. Utilize Python or SQL to identify outliers, handle missing values, and normalize data. Load & Demand Analysis: Analyze historical load profiles to identify patterns, peaks, and anomalies.
