Litigation Counsel San Francisco Bay Area Discord is used by over 200 million people every month for many different reasons, but there's one thing that nearly everyone does on our platform: play video games. Over 90% of our users play games, spending a combined 1.5 billion hours playing thousands of unique titles on Discord each month. Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming. We are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games. Discord is looking for an experienced Litigation Counsel to join Discord's Legal team. Reporting to the Director, Global Litigation and working closely with two Senior Litigation Counsels, you'll join a lean team where every team member carries real responsibility from day one. We're looking for an experienced litigator who can operate independently across a broad range of matters, with the judgment to triage, strategize, and execute on a diverse caseload. You'll own the individual consumer claims docket, support discovery and briefing on high-stakes matters, and manage IP litigation, all while working closely with cross-functional partners to protect Discord's platform and users. What you'll be doing - Own and manage Discord's individual consumer claims docket end-to-end, including consumer arbitrations, state attorney general individual consumer complaints, and Digital Services Act (DSA) complaints - Partner with litigation teammates on high-stakes matters, including regulatory inquiries, putative class actions, and other complex disputes - Take ownership of discovery workstreams on major matters, including managing document
