You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Duties The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for all elements of the nursing process in direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care. The RN focuses on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, administers medications, and follows established policies. Demonstrates leadership and shares knowledge to support professional development and improve care outcomes at the program or service level. This part-time (0.9 FTE) Staff Registered Nurse (RN) on 5 Main, a med/surg telemetry unit, is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care based on age-specific components. The RN assumes responsibility for the coordination of care, focusing on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
