Registered Nurse - Domiciliary Mental Health Walla Walla, Washington Summary This is an open continuous announcement until May 8, 2026. Announcement has been extended to September 30, 2026. NOTE: The 2-page Resume requirement does not apply to this occupational series. PLEASE REFER TO REQUIRED DOCUMENTS SECTION FOR DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO UPLOAD RESUME/CV THAT IS LONGER THAN 2 PAGES. Duties The domiciliary RN attends and observes nurse-led psychoeducational groups, uses therapeutic communication techniques, practices de-escalation techniques, utilizes recovery-oriented language, and provides oversight of the patient safe medication management program. Duties include but are not limited to: Participating in shift report and warm hand-off. Identifying and reporting psychiatric and medical care needs and emergencies as directed. Identifying safety concerns and hazardous items to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment of care. Documenting nursing assessments. risk screens, nursing plan of care, patient safety rounds, and environmental of care rounds in accordance with facility policy. Maintaining professional boundaries to protect patient vulnerabilities, and acting in the best interest of the patient. Establishing a therapeutic relationship, allowing the patient to attain, maintain or regain optimal function through assessment and treatment. Engaging patients, families, and other caregivers to incorporate knowledge, values, and beliefs into care planning without judgement or discrimination. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
