Physician Rheumatologist - Full-Time - Potential Recruit Incentive / EDRP is authorized Manchester, New Hampshire Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one - five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible. Duties The Manchester VA rheumatologist provides comprehensive patient care at the VA Manchester Healthcare System and select Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The work schedule is Monday through Friday. Evening, night, holiday and weekend shifts are not required, although opportunity exists for expanded clinics. The incumbent reports to the Chief of Medicine. The staff Rheumatologist always works within her or his privileges. The incumbent is expected to maintain current knowledge and skills. She or he must be able to deliver interventions throughout the full spectrum of Rheumatology care. Duties include: Performing advanced examination, diagnosis, procedures and treatment of patients with suspected and established rheumatologic disorders. Evaluating laboratory and clinical findings, differentiating among the various contributory causes, and prescribing appropriate treatment. Utilizes telehealth modalities to provide patient care in medically appropriate situations and with patient concurrence.
