Physician - Psychiatrist - Psychiatric Services - Full-time - Recruitment Incentive/ EDRP Authorized Manchester, New Hampshire Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Duties The Staff Psychiatrist must meet the following qualifications, unless waived by the Service Chief. Care may be rendered at the time of clinical emergency within the scope of one's license if deemed necessary to save the life of a patient or to save a patient from serious harm. Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency/fellowship in psychiatry and/or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and/or equivalent credentials as determined by the Chief of Mental Health. Licensed to practice in any state as a licensed independent practitioner (LIP) with prescriptive authority. Maintain other certifications, if required, by specialty service to demonstrate competency. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification, if applicable.
