About this role
Physician - Primary Care - Addiction Medicine Canandaigua, New York Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Duties Duties include but are not limited to: The Facility PACT Pain Champion works with the VISN PACT Pain Champion assisting and sharing strong practices and implementation strategies within the Pain Management, Opioid Safety, and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program ( PMOP ) Coordinator, Mental Health/Addiction Medicine POC and Facility Pain Committee to deliver clinical and primary care, education and training programs, and other Facility services. Works with the VISN PACT Pain Champion and Facility-level partners such as the Facility Pain POC, Facility PMOP Coordinator, Facility Academic Detailing Pharmacist, Suicide Prevention Team, Primary Care/Mental Health Integration, and Mental Health Leaders to support suicide prevention efforts and awareness in Veterans experiencing pain. Serves as a liaison for PACT Pain related issues, patient advocacy, Facility-related congressional inquiries, items requiring PACT Pain engagement, and/or information around national initiatives and tools (Stepped Care for Opioid Use Disorder Train-the-Trainer (SCOUTT), opioid safety, Facility pain teams).
