The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center is has an exiting opportunity recruiting a full-time Neurologist (Section Chief). VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. DUTIES: Continuing the further development of the clinical programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing evaluation and treatment for patients seen in the outpatient clinics, labs, or inpatient services as assigned. Providing patient care in the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System. The incumbent will attend in the outpatient clinics, labs, or on the inpatient services as assigned, and other clinical services needed by the Service. These clinical responsibilities may include patient care activities with or without trainees. Supervising and teaching medical students, interns and residents, and fellows. Participate in the educational activities of the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine. Participating in Process Improvement/Quality Assurance projects and other administrative duties as assigned, including Section meetings. Other duties as assigned by the Section or Service Chief. Providing expert consultation and treatment to patients in all clinical settings. Evaluating and triage specialty consults. Obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, recommend, order and evaluate appropriate laboratory testing, and plan and prescribe treatment for patients.
