About this role
Physician - In Patient Mental Health Manager Montrose, New York Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Duties Inpatient Program Manager (Psychiatry) Mental Health Unit has the following assigned duties: Responsible for planning, establishing, and implementing policies and procedures for the unit: Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the management and provision of care of patients related to the management of care. Supports implementation of policies as well andis responsible for implementation and planning. Responsible for all program planning and development, advising facility and VISN leadership of shifting trends and identifying the need for and making recommendations on programoperations or policy changes based on work experience. Works collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders to expedite service delivery. Includes community partners. Ensures the implementation and adherence to the Uniform Mental Health Services Handbook (VHA Handbook 1160.01). Ensures that Veteran feedback is regularly analyzed and incorporated into the programming curriculum and unit services in general. Recognizes gaps and identifies solutions based on Veteran feedback.
