Physician-Cardiology Madison, Wisconsin Summary The Section of Cardiology at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital located in Madison, WI is searching for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist to serve on the staff of a very active academic cardiology section with clinical strengths in electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure/transplant and imaging. This is an open continuous announcement and applicates will be reviewed every two weeks until position is filled. Duties The Section of Cardiology at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital located in Madison, WI is searching for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist to serve on the staff of a very active academic cardiology section with clinical strengths in electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure/transplant and imaging. Applicants with demonstrated success in clinical research are preferred. Skills in the performance, supervision and interpretation of cardiac imaging studies, including nuclear cardiology, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography are highly desired. Opportunity exists to perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization but not therapeutic coronary or structural interventions. In addition to cardiac imaging, clinical duties include managing patients on the inpatient ward and outpatient specialty clinics, providing outreach clinical care at the Rockford CBOC with the possibility of remote work at our local East Clinic and the Tomah VAMC performing cardiology consultations. In support of VA's teaching mission, the incumbent will provide supervisory oversight of fellows, residents, and medical students.
