Physician - Anesthesiologists Albany, New York Summary This position is in the Department of Surgery, Section of Anesthesia at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. We are seeking staff Anesthesiologists to provide a broad range of anesthesia care for Veterans with complex conditions, ensuring patient-centered excellence. There is also potential for qualified candidates to be considered for a leadership role overseeing and supporting a team of Anesthesiology physicians. Duties Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Direction of perioperative anesthetic care to patients Preoperative Assessments Intraoperative anesthetic administration and monitoring Post-anesthesia Care Providing anesthetic care for general surgery, orthopedics, Urology, ophthalmology, diabetic foot, gyn, ENT, oral surgery in OR, off-site settings, PACU, ICU ward and clinic settings. Participating in the development and implementation of program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to delivery of quality anesthetic care Leadership role includes additional duties Call duties required VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Education Debt Reduction Program: This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.
