About this role
Community Living Center- Registered Nurse Butler, Pennsylvania Summary This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Duties This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 25, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be February 10, 2026, with weekly cut-off dates on Tuesdays going forward. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. Major Duties: Responsible for providing competent, evidence-based care to assigned residents with oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting. The nurse will assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization. Partners with the resident, family, and interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe transitions across the health care continuum. Plans and delivers technically competent care to patients in alignment with the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice. Manages nursing care of patients, organizes, and completes own assignments in a safe and timely manner, assisting team members as necessary.
