Chiropractor Clarksburg, West Virginia Summary Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) are licensed independent practitioners (LIP) in VHA who provide examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions using non-pharmacologic and non-operative methods. Meets the needs of customers while supporting the VHA and [Facility] missions. Consistently communicates and treats customers (patients, visitors, volunteers, and all Medical Center staff) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Duties This is OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 30,2026. The initial cut-off date for referrals of eligible application will be June 1,2026 with subsequent cut-off dates every month. Eligible applications received after that date will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available. Chiropractors utilize standard medical evaluation procedures along with biomechanical assessment to establish a diagnosis and formulate a management plan. They consult with other health care providers and refer patients in accordance with accepted medical indications. Chiropractic treatment includes a number of options such as patient education, therapeutic exercise, lifestyle recommendations, and other interventions such as joint manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue therapies, and physical modalities. Scope of practice. At the discretion of the Chief of Staff, clinical privileges may be granted based on the individual's documented education, competence, and experience. The minimum practice privileges for which the chiropractor is authorized include: Performing patient history and physical examination. Ordering imaging, laboratory, or other diagnostic studies as appropriate. Establishing diagnosis and treatment plan.
