WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR Cherry Point, North Carolina Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Duties You will operate all functions of the potable water treatment systems by computer remote command or hand/manual mode. You will adjust systems to produce potable water that meets water system demand and quality limits specified by the Navy, and the Safe Drinking Water Act enforced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State of North Carolina. You will maintain a record of plant operations, collect data, and develop reports for submission to regulatory agencies. You will make production tests on well pumping stations for flow rate, static water levels, drawdown and recovery rates while maintaining a daily log sheet on well operations. You will receive, handle, and store hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals. You will perform calibration and preventive maintenance on plant treating and pumping systems.
