SECURITY GUARD Multiple Locations Summary You will serve as a Security Guard for DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. This vacancy announcement may be used to fill positions at various Department of the Navy Commands, including but not limited to Marine Corps and Commander, Navy Installations. Duties You will direct vehicles and pedestrian traffic during emergencies and normal rush hour traffic to ensure that the entry control process is run in accordance with established procedures and naval regulations. You will be required to appear as a competent witness in a court of law, may be required to testify on the results of investigations performed and violations observed. You will plan, schedule, assign, and direct the work requirements of guard force personnel. You will provide technical assistance and advice to employees and supervisors on the physical security programs, policies, regulations and procedures. You will provide continuing inspection of and basic corrective actions for building security protective devices and systems to ensure that all physical security equipment and measures are functioning properly. You will conduct physical security inspections of all buildings in the organization where sensitive work operations are located to determine if physical controls are adequate You will ensure that only authorized personnel gain access to site.
