RECREATION ASSISTANT (SKEET RANGE), NF-0189-02 Jacksonville, North Carolina Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Duties What to Expect Assists the Manager daily by opening and closing the activity. Assists and services customers by providing directions, demonstrating equipment and services, and/or assisting in purchase of merchandise. Operates a cash register, receives payments, makes change, and completes related sales records. Performs daily maintenance of Skeet Range facility, equipment, and weapons. Strictly enforces posted safety rules and range procedures. Issues weapons, targets, and applicable safety equipment. Provides actual shooting demonstrations, issues weapons and ammunition, cleans and repairs archery equipment. Performs a variety of administrative duties associated with the assigned operations. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a "covered position" for the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act for Department of the Navy civilian personnel. If the incumbent comes in contact with firearms, or ammunition in this position they must complete a DD Form 2760 certifying whether, or not they have ever obtained a "qualifying conviction"
