GS-4: $45,885-$59,657 GS-5: $51,336-$66,731 GS-6: $57,226-$74,391 Duties You will serve as a PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the RADIOLOGICAL MONITORING DIVISION (CODE 105.3) of the RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE (CODE 105) located in KITTERY, ME. You will overhaul and refuel nuclear powered vessels, in a wide range of radiological control operations. You will assure adherence to radiological control requirements for assignments which involve numerous processes in several high skill level trades. You will serve as a major radiological control representative in "dry run" planning, practice, or "mock-up" sessions in preparation for major repairs and overhaul or refueling operations. You will take charge of response to radiation related emergencies and incidents until replaced by a senior radiological control supervisor or manager. Education Specialized Experience (for positions at GS-4 and above): Examples of qualifying specialized experience include work in the fields of astronomy, physics, geophysics, chemistry, hydrology, health physics, engineering, electronics, geology, oceanography, and metallurgy. Experience as a laboratory mechanic or in a trade or craft may be credited as general or specialized experience when the work was performed in close association
