About this role
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) Washington Navy Yard, District of Columbia Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Duties You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) under a Program Office within TEAMSUB. You will develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to protect and defend information systems from threats. You will monitor networks and systems for security incidents, analyze potential threats, and respond effectively to mitigate risks. You will ensure regulatory compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, such as the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines. You will perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and recommend enhancements. You will work proactively with program office personnel and stakeholders to address security concerns, ensure systems are protected, and foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
