FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST Bridgeport, California Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties You will perform technical reviews of contractor-prepared designs and specifications for fire suppression/detection systems. You will conduct periodic and special inspections of high hazard buildings both on and off base to evaluate life safety systems and enforce compliance with prescribed methods and codes. You will provide training to Fire Inspectors and firefighters in basic fire inspection methods, represent the division in meetings for system integration, and manage the department's Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and information management programs. You will maintain and troubleshoot all Emergency Communication equipment, ensuring the continuity and security of the data/voice recording system in the ECC, and develop/update department SOPs in areas of expertise. You will respond to emergency incidents, assuming immediate command and control, and participate as a firefighter in firefighting teams, taking on a full range of firefighting duties as needed.
