ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Oahu, Hawaii Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the ELECTRONICS SHOP, NUCLEAR OR NON-NUCLEAR SECTION, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY. Duties You will supervise the repair, removal, field changes, modifications, reinstallation, and checkout of systems and equipment assigned to Nuclear or Non-Nuclear Sections onboard submarines or surface crafts. You will assign tasks, tools, equipment and materials to workers. You will interpret plans and instructions for the work group. You will keep all work operations under close observation and control. You will resolve work problems and take action to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and other delays, requesting special permission, decisions, or assistance from higher levels of authority. You will plan the sequence of tasks, layouts, work assignments and any special work methods to be utilized.
