ENGINEERING TECHNICAN Parker Dam, California Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a ENGINEERING TECHNICAN. Make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Lower Colorado Dams Office, Parker Dam Field Division located at the Parker Dam. Duties The Engineering Technician serves as the primary source for computer-aided design (CAD) for the Lower Colorado Dams Office, Parker Dam Division, and is responsible for reviewing designs for compliance with current industry practices and ensuring that designs fit field conditions. Develops, prepares, and/or reviews plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction and proposed or ongoing projects. Reviews designs for compliance with current industry practices and ensures they fit field conditions; recommends modifications when issues are identified. Utilizes automated engineering drafting and design systems and applications. Uses a variety of contracting processes to provide engineering oversight for construction, architectural, or engineering contracts. Validates data used in and loaded into electronic or automated design and records management applications, and provides technical oversight to ensure data integrity. Requirements You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation. You must submit a resume and supporting documentation (see Required Documents). You must submit eligibility documents for veterans consideration (see Required Documents). You must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads.
