Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor Fort Detrick, Maryland Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DoD Statutory Direct Hire Authorities to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Position serves as the technical and administrative supervisor over the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Exercises full supervisory responsibility over work operations, to include planning, work direction, and administration for wastewater treatment operations. Duties Provides general instructions, standard procedures, overall priorities and policies, and relies on the incumbent to control work operations, and accomplish an adequate quantity and quality of work. Plans weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Selects workers and assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; instructs subordinates in new procedures; and, provides advice when problems arise. Exercises full supervisory responsibility over work operations and subordinate civilian personnel. Possess working experience and knowledge with plant equipment and operated industrial and domestic wastewater collection pumping stations and operations.
